2023 Untied Funding Grant

2022 Grant: $67,200
Purpose: 2023 Untied Funding Grant
Beneficiaries: All ages
Total Grants to date:    $170,650
Area: Strengthening Victorian Public Hospitals

The untied grant from the Collier Charitable Fund has allowed MBPH to proceed with the construction of an aquarium wall in our Paediatric ward.

Last year Mildura Base Public Hospital (MBPH) was lucky to receive a donation of $67,200 from the Collier Charitable Fund.

The untied donation has allowed MBPH to proceed with the construction of an aquarium wall in our Paediatric ward. The aquarium wall is interactive and allows children to create images of fish which then appear on the screen. The therapeutic benefits of this amazing wall are incredible and will make a child’s stay in hospital a little more pleasant. Without the funds received through the Collier Charitable Fund MBPH would not have been in a position to install this wall.

MBPH is one of Victoria’s busiest rural hospitals with a staff of over 1250 and caring for communities across three States.

Raising funds for projects like this are often difficult, but through this donation we have been able to fast track the project. At MBPH we are very proud of the care we provide for our community of the Northern Mallee and anyway we can further enhance this we are grateful. The aquarium wall is certainly something which has enabled us to improve our service and is such an amazing addition to our paediatrics ward. The generosity of the Collier Charitable Fund again reminds us of the amazing work they do and the support they provide.
